Fantastic Talk at Run Club, Class and Assembly at Westminster Primary in Adelaide today Ashleigh, your amazing. Great connection and motivation, kids got so much from it, teachers were very impressed with your articulate and professional influence and presentation today. You are a National community asset and inspiration. Thanks so much !! – Henry Lawson, Westminster Primary – Adelaide

Ashleigh Nelson and Rachael Lynch recently attended the Chisholm Catholic College Sports Award Night and were brilliant!  In the lead up to the event they were easy to communicate with, they took on board the context of the evening, provided entertaining footage of themselves in action (upon request) and even provided their own profile information for the MC.  On the night they immediately engaged the students and their families with their friendly and down-to-earth personalities, and offered inspiring and powerful messages about overcoming challenges, achieving goals and living in the now rather than always focussing on the future.  Never before have I had so much positive feedback voluntarily given to me by parents and staff who attended the evening, about how fantastic and fitting these girls were at such an event, and how relevant and capturing their messages were for the students.  I highly recommend that anyone who is seeking confident, insightful and entertaining guests for their event, to invite these girls along – Belinda Suter, Chisholm Catholic College

Ashleigh came and spoke to the Woodside Finance Function on our Personal Development Day and was amazing! Even though talking to a room full of accountants, Ashleigh connected with the audience straight up and tailored her speech so that it was relevant and motivating to the group. Ashleigh had everyone’s full attention for the entire speech and was happy to stay around and answer questions afterwards. Thank you for such an interesting and inspiring delivery – Kylie Ditchburn, Woodside Finance

I would just like to take to opportunity to again thank you for coming along to our presentation evening. All the feedback about your contributions to the evening has been extremely positive from staff, students and their families. The important messages you were able to share with our students and the Mazenod community about the balance of sport and other aspects of life is exactly what we had hoped for. Thanks for being so friendly and accommodating to our needs on the night. – Tim Grabski, Mazenod College

Thank you so much for the “Overcoming Obstacles & Achieving Goals” talk last week. Jane, whose girls train with us even emailed me to tell me how much her daughters benefited! The structured approach you took – defining ‘success’, examining its components and applying its findings – was excellent. Your points about achieving goals, the need for perseverance and preparing for adversity were so relevant to the audience, which numbered over 60 people. It was especially important for members to hear a high achiever like you say ‘hard work and persistence were expected but not enough’. Achieving goals takes time, was good advice for those aiming for black belt as this takes years – and for those with a black belt, “you have to stay on top of your game” was really relevant. Your messages were so consistent with what we teach but at the same time, so universal – try your best, stay focused, be disciplined and never give up. We’d love to have you come back and talk at a future event. – Bruce Sivalingam (DoJang SaBum), Rhee International Tae Kwon Do, Brentwood

Thanks for opening the 2013 Wagin Woolorama. Your address was warm, sincere and made an obvious connection to the audience. You kept to time, encouraged and inspired.  Your subject material was relevant and your personal sharing appropriate. The audience loved it! Thanks for promoting our sponsor’s health message and for being a great role model to a new generation of young children. The feedback we have had was that people both enjoyed and were stimulated by your input. – Wagin Woolorama Committee

It was universally agreed that your speech was excellent – entertaining, humorous, well pitched, suitable for audience and thought provoking for all in attendance. Very inspiring for our graduates.- International School of WA

Ashleigh visited Geraldton as a part of a sponsored pre-season hockey event – the Emerald Grain Girls Hockey Weekend. Throughout the weekend Ashleigh was involved in the following ways:

  • Hockey clinics for the Mid West Hockey Academy and Development squad juniors
  • An informal talk for the Academy players about what it takes to become an elite athlete (particularly in relation to coming from the country) and how they can manage their training loads
  • Assisting coaches and players throughout a pre-season tournament
  • A motivational talk over dinner for women – covering Ashleigh’s journey and what it was like attending the Olympics
  • Assisting the coach and player group of a combined Geraldton team throughout a game against a Perth team

Ashleigh’s visit was extremely beneficial to our association. Both her informal discussion with the kids and her formal talk with the women of our association were very motivating. The kids were inspired to aim high and continue working towards their goals as Ashleigh talked to them about how they should view coming from a regional location as an advantage rather than a disadvantage. The female players and their coaches were very pleased with the advice Ashleigh gave them throughout their games and were inspired when Ashleigh spoke of how she overcame her injuries to make it to the elite level thorough persistence and determination. She is a wonderful speaker who I would highly recommend to any sporting or school group. – Jess McGregor, Regional Development Officer, Mid West Hockey

Thanks so much for coming and visiting our school. You had the children captivated by your stories. They really understood the message of hard work paying off, and that everyone goes through struggles, hard times and disappointments, but it’s how they pick themselves up from it. After your visit, we continued our work, not only on information reports (in which they studied you), but also our health for the entire term related to your visit. Healthy eating/exercise and active lifestyles, importance of setting goals and the importance of being resilient.

Also, they loved getting to hold your medals – as did the support staff and myself. A real once in a lifetime opportunity. – Tara Browning, Huntingdale Primary School
